PSL Spheres, HEPA Filter Efficiency, Leak Detection Tests

HEPA Filter Test using PSL Spheres, Polystyrene Latex Spheres and Beads

HEPA Filter Test using PSL Spheres and polystyrene latex beads are used to challenge ULPA filters and HEPA filters for filter efficiency and mean particle penetration size, MPPS; as well as fluid mechanics research, dispersion studies and many other research and development projects. Bottle Volumes are provided in 15ml and 100ml bottle volumes, including 1000ml as a Special Order. These PSL spheres meet the need for particulate challenge with a variety of particle sizes and properties, and are useful for applications to test efficiency of an ULPA filter and HEPA filter. They are not intended for use in instrument calibration or diagnostic reagents because they lack the exacting specifications needed for those applications. Polystyrene latex beads of this series are of special interest for research in light scattering, micro-porous filter checking and aerosol particle generation. The polystyrene beads have a density of 1.05 g/ cm3 and a refractive index of 1.59 @ 589 nm. Particle diameters are measured by optical microscopy, photon correlation spectroscopy or light scattering. They are packaged as aqueous suspensions at 10% solids by weight.

The HEPA Test PSL Spheres range from 30nm to 3.1 microns in size.

* 15 mL (“A” bottles) listed below are available for immediate purchase. 100 mL (“B” bottles) and 1000 mL (“C” bottles) are packaged to order; example (AP5003B and AP5003C). Please allow 3-7 working days when ordering these fill volumes.
