This historical comparison is being corrected to distinguish equipment specifications from validated disinfection performance. It is not an operating procedure or a current quotation.
Compare spray and fogging equipment by the intended application, current chemical labeling, documented performance, exposure controls and total operating costs. EPA registration applies to a pesticide product and its labeled uses, not blanket certification of a fogger.
Hand-carried spray guns and backpack sprayers deliver liquid droplets to surfaces. Droplet size, evaporation and deposition vary with the equipment, formulation and environment. Surface wetting can be an intended part of label-directed disinfection; neither visible fog nor a smaller droplet size proves sterilization. Operator PPE is determined by the product label, SDS and risk assessment, not a visual judgment about how strong a chemical appears.
Before use, review the exact product label for the target organism, surface, application method, contact time and any rinsing or re-entry requirements. Control access and residue exposure as directed. Do not infer safety or efficacy from price, odor or whether an operator is wearing protection.
AFS and CRF2-S equipment should be assessed against the intended application and current model documentation. A chemical registration does not establish whole-room air or surface sterilization, and historical prices are not current quotations. Verify the chemical, fogging permission and process validation separately.
The historical table compares units described by liquid-output rates of 1.5 and 9 gallons per hour. The competitor identities and current specifications were not established. Liquid flow rate is not treated-room capacity. No universal hydrogen-peroxide concentration can be prescribed from equipment flow or a target organism alone.
Assess construction materials, distribution pattern and chemical compatibility using the exact model and formulation. Plastic materials differ in resistance; a blanket claim that plastic cannot tolerate a sterilant is not justified. Request traceable application-specific efficacy data rather than inferring performance from concentration or output direction.
A purchasing comparison should include current equipment and chemical quotations, consumables, monitoring, maintenance, operator training and validated cycle requirements. An SDS describes hazards; it does not itself prove disinfection efficacy. Customer feedback is not a substitute for the current pesticide label and relevant performance evidence.
DF2S and CRF4-S are included below as equipment options. Their inclusion does not establish a coronavirus claim or a validated room-sterilization process. Confirm the exact chemical label, permitted application method, equipment compatibility and site-specific validation before selection or use.
