Description
Cleanroom Fogger Performance Comparisons
AP100 Ultrapure Fogger: approximately 15.5 cubic meters of fog per minute, 1520 ml fog density per minute, 90 minutes of operation, 30 to 40 feet fog distance, four fog outputs. Suitable for cleanroom or theater use.
Ultrapure foggers are engineered to deliver high fog density, which is essential for effective visual airflow over long distances. Fog density determines how well airflow can be visualized by the eye or camera. It is calculated by dividing the total liquid volume (in milliliters) by the typical minutes of operation. The AP100 achieves a fog density of 1520 ml per minute, producing fog with a droplet diameter of 2 to 3 microns. Using liquid nitrogen and DI or WFI water, the AP100 generates dense, ultrapure fog for approximately 90 minutes, making it ideal for large cleanrooms or stage applications. Smaller foggers typically produce 150 to 250 ml per minute. The AP100 offers the highest fog volume and density for visualizing airflow patterns, turbulence and dead spots, with no cleanup required after use. It is specifically designed for large-scale visual airflow modeling and 3D studies.

The AP100 nitrogen fog generator is designed for cleanrooms, ISO suites and sterile rooms to visualize airflow, flow patterns, dead spaces and turbulence. It supports pharmaceutical guidelines, including USP 797 In-Situ Airflow Analysis, ISO 14644-3 Annex B7 and semiconductor cleanroom standards. The nitrogen fog produced is particle-free and non-contaminating, leaving no residue and requiring no cleanup. The fog enters the airflow at low pressure, minimizing turbulence. The AP35 ultrapure fogger is CE Marked, ISO and USP compliant and suitable for Class 1 to 100,000 cleanrooms for airflow and contaminant transport studies. Applied Physics offers two nitrogen foggers: the AP35, which produces 5 cubic meters per minute for 70 minutes and the AP100, which produces 15.5 cubic meters per minute for about 90 minutes.
