Description
Passive Conjugation Kit
Accelerate the optimization and development of lateral flow assays and rapid diagnostics with the Passive Conjugation Kit. Formulated to simplify non-covalent passive adsorption, this kit supplies all the pre-validated buffers and critical screening reagents necessary to systematically determine the ideal pH and protein loading concentration for binding biomolecules to citrate-stabilized metal nanoparticles.
Passive conjugation relies on a delicate balance of hydrophobic and electrostatic interactions between your protein (such as an antibody or antigen) and the nanoparticle surface. Because every biomolecule exhibits a unique isoelectric point and binding profile, finding the exact stabilization conditions is often time-consuming. This kit standardizes the screening process, removing the variability of in-house buffer preparation and reagent validation.
What’s Included:
Titration Buffer Suite (pH 6.0 to 9.7): A range of buffers formulated to screen binding conditions across varying pH levels to pinpoint the optimal adsorption point without denaturing your antibody.
10% NaCl Solution: A challenge solution used to evaluate conjugate stability and confirm sufficient surface coverage by detecting salt-induced nanoparticle aggregation or flocculation.
Blocking Buffer: A pre-formulated blocker to passivate unoccupied surface sites on the nanoparticles, minimizing non-specific binding in downstream assays.
Conjugate Diluent: A dedicated storage and dilution buffer designed to maintain long-term stability, monodispersity, and assay performance post-conjugation.
Key Features & Benefits:
Broad Compatibility: Fully optimized for citrate-functionalized surfaces across standard gold nanoparticle sizes and gold nanoshells.
Formulation Flexibility: Nanoparticles are provided separately, allowing you the freedom to select the exact particle size, optical density, and material configuration best suited for your specific assay architecture.
Reliable Reproducibility: Minimizes lot-to-lot preparation error, establishing a dependable baseline for optimizing test-line contrast, signal intensity, and overall sensitivity.
Intended for Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.
